With the upcoming start to the Sports Fishing season 2016. I thought it would be a good time to think about what I want to get out of this year.
Over the previous year, I have not been out as much as I would have liked. I was only able to get out for a few outings and only a couple of small fish were caught.
This year I am going to try to focus on my Fly Fishing and Hunting and Fishing are running How to Fly Fish nights throughout the country and Hutt Valley had theirs on the 13th of October. Hopefully, I will be able to pick up some tips and tricks for fishing in Wellington and the Wairarapa.
I find the complexity of what flies to fish when as well as just trying to cast a fly challenge. I am sure more experience and practice would help sort that.
With the Hutt River having a lot of fishing pressure I feel that this also makes trying fly fishing that much harder with the wind against you as well.
