I got the Ruger 10/22 out a bit over the Xmas holiday break at my In-Laws and this is a quick update including the addition of the Magpul cheek riser for the Hunter X-22 stock. It was a bit of fun, I was able to get a bunny and a magpie from the three shots both at about 50m.

With 55Six liquidating their stock I was able to pick up a cheek riser for the Magpul Hunter stock for very cheap. This has changed the feel of the 10/22 and the cheek weld is now pretty much perfect. I put the 0.50″ riser on my 10/22 and the 0.25″ on my dad’s Ruger. We were able to put the 0.25″ cheek riser on my dad’s gun as well.

The only thing I may do is paint the cheek riser to match as close as possible the FDE of my stock.
I am yet to take it out and use the Magpul cheek riser in the field. But I am certain it will improve the usability of my custom Ruger 10/22.
Let me know your thoughts on this and anything else that may be beneficial to my Ruger 10/22?
Thanks for reading
